eb2 visa eb2 priority date

There are many employment–based visa categories which are permitted for immigration to the US. Some categories are more over applied than others creating a backlog of several years before immigrant visas can be issued. It is therefore important that an occupation be carefully assessed to determine if it is one that can fit in a category with a shorter wait time.
You Can also check current priority eb2 priority date & eb3 priority date for 2010 on following link। Hope this will helps।

Here I am shortly describing EB1, EB2 and EB3 visa category , I am not an expert or lawer but wants to share what I have learned so far ( I am follower of learnshare concept ie www.ezdia.com). Anyways back to EB2 visa, based on these classification you can determine which one fits best to your skill set, education and category with a shorter wait time.

EB1 Visa:
Outstanding professors and researchers are recognized internationally for their outstanding academic achievements in a particular field. In addition, an outstanding professor or researcher must have at least three years experience in teaching or research in that academic area, and enter the US in a tenure or tenure track teaching or comparable research position at a university or other institution of higher education.
If the employer is a private company rather than a university or educational institution, the department, division, or institute of the private employer must employ at least three persons full time in research activities and have achieved documented accomplishments in an academic field.

EB2 visa:
The EB-2 classification includes: aliens who are "members of the professions holding advanced degrees or their equivalent" and aliens "who because of their exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business will substantially benefit the national economy, cultural, or educational interests or welfare of the United States."
The employment-based second preference (EB-2) visa are given to those who work in highly-skilled occupations that require an advanced degree, typically needs a master’s degree or higher for entry into the field, or the equivalent OR a bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressively-responsible experience in the field as the equivalent of a master’s degree.
There are three types of EB-2 Visas.
EB-2(A): This category is for foreign nationals professionals with an 'advanced degrees' (masters degree or higher) and with a job offer from a U।S. company

EB-2(B): This category is for foreign nationals with 'exceptional ability' in the sciences, business or arts and with a job offer from a U.S. company

EB-2(C): This category is for foreign nationals with exceptional ability, or an advanced degree, who can show that their activities will substantially benefit the U.S. national interest.

Employment-based third-preference (EB-3), in contrast, includes occupations requiring no experience up to a bachelor’s degree with some experience. Because the
EB-3 category is substantially backlogged, we are receiving an increasing number of inquiries on how an employment-based immigrant can obtain permanent resident status more quickly through the EB-2 classification.
EB-3(A): This category is for 'professional workers' with a U.S. bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree and with a job offer from a U.S. company
EB-3(B): This category is for 'skilled workers' for positions that require at least two years of training or experience and with a job offer from a U.S. company
EB-3(C): This category is for 'unskilled workers' for positions that require less than two years training or experience and with a job offer from a U.S. company
