Happy Valentine Day

Why do we close our eyes when we sing a song?
Why do we close our eyes when we kiss someone?
Because the most beautiful things in life are unseen and can be felt by heart only.

Thought I believe that above notion is true, but at the same time I also strongly feel that every now and then the feelings should also come out by some form of expression- verbal, written or by doing something extra/special for your loved ones (Indeed, I am amazed with Alok's latest blog “2 more days and nights to go” which could be found at http://www.alokkjain.blogspot.com/). I think for any strong relationship expression of feelings, care and spending quality time with each other does matter a lot. I believe, in this world all good things require nourishment and care in order to be alive and 'Healthy Relationship' is not an exception to it.

Early days of new relationship, begins with getting more and more interested in one another and sharing every day's routine with each other. In great relationships, people should care about each other’s feeling and the acknowledgment of each other good things happens naturally, so do communication, mutual respect and intimacy.

As the time passes, we get so much swamped with our daily schedules and slowly start forgetting (or at least de-prioritizing) importance of “most important things of our life”. Unfortunately with the onset of “so many of” our personal and professional deadlines, we offer lesser and lesser attention with our dearest one, thinking that they are going to be there for you. This happens in our relationships all the time. We gets busy, tired, and complacent, taking care of all the mundane "necessities" in life; meanwhile the days keep passing by. One day when we feel distant, drained, and unsatisfied; and we wonder what had happened and pray to God to get it all back.

I feel that the most important thing in a great relationship is a continuous communication & care for each other. Spending quality time and making a priority to talk with each other every day-even when you are in traveling and working overseas for weeks!

Occasions like Valentine Day bring a lot of opportunity to share your feelings with your loved ones. So friends, if you’re away from your dearest ones, beside residing in their heart and mind please also take some space in their Inboxes (everyone is offering a ton of free space these days :--) and phone calls (sure, you don’t need to talk in daytime to consume your precious minutes!). With this blog, I’ll also like to thanks to my husband for the best Valentine gift, I could ever imagine… for the most wonderful day of my life which we’d spend together in Hilton, Galveston and for his blog (again could be found at: http://www.alokkjain.blogspot.com/).

  1. I think Love is a nice side effect that should come eventually from a proper marriage. for the nourishment of any relationship "Personal Time and Personal care" are much important then anything.

  2. I am truely not a right person to comment on this four letter word "Love".Falling in it is must to understand it.
"Love pre marriage or post marriage "has always been a matter of great debate.
After marriage and spending years of time together only a true love can appear.
My heartiest congratulations if you are among those married fortunates who are still in love(touch wood).
